Maria Alberta owner of Maola's Silver Imports, was born in Tetipac, Guerrero, Mexico. Her town was only twenty minutes from Taxco, the Capital of Silver. Maria Alberta learned very early to respect the beauty and quality of the fine jewerly made in Taxco. She also respected and loved the traditional native Mexican designs and the classic European pieces along with the new modern American Settings.
Maria Alberta, has a great appreciation for William Spratling, the legendary American silver designer, who dedicated part of his life to the teaching of silver craftsmanship to the local towns people of Taxco. She frequently imports handmade jewelry from his students. She admires both his artistic eye and his beliefs and wishes to pass on to others the beauty of his work.
Maria Alberta, has over twenty-three years of experience importing the finest silver jewelry from all around the world and is committed in continuing to do so. She brings with her, knowledge, wisdom and great love and passion of beautiful and lovely jewelry that she finds, for her many devoted customers.
